Clive Staples Lewis (C. S. Lewis) (1898 – 1963) was a renowned British writer, literary scholar, and Christian apologist. He is best known as the author of The Chronicles of Narnia, a classic series of seven fantasy novels that has captivated readers of all ages. Born in Belfast, Ireland, Lewis studied at Oxford University, where he later became a fellow and tutor in English literature. A brilliant academic, he specialized in medieval and Renaissance literature and later taught at Cambridge University. Alongside his fiction, Lewis gained fame for his works on Christian apologetics, including Mere Christianity, The Problem of Pain, and The Screwtape Letters.
